Floor tiles 20x120 with the look of wooden planks
Floor tiles 20x120 have an elongated proportion that strongly resembles traditional floorboards. This format makes the tiles particularly suitable for a wood-look floor where the length of each tile remains clearly visible.
The plank shape gives the floor a different character than square tiles. The lines run more prominently through the space and can help create a calm, natural foundation for the interior.
Ceramic parquet: wood look in tile form
The combination of a wood design and an elongated ceramic tile is often referred to as ceramic parquet. This gives you the visual effect of a plank floor, while the material and product specifications remain those of a tile.
When comparing wood-look floor tiles, pay particular attention to the grain pattern, colour nuances and surface finish. These details largely determine how natural the finished floor looks.
Elongated tiles and the direction of your floor
With elongated tiles, the laying direction has a significant influence on the appearance of the space. When the long side is consistently laid in the same direction, it creates a clear linear pattern that further emphasises the plank format.
You can also vary the offset between the tiles. Therefore, lay out several tiles dry before installation so you can assess how the grain, colour differences and grout lines are distributed across the surface.
Combining ceramic wood-look tiles with your interior
Ceramic wood-look tiles can complement a wide range of interior styles, depending on the design chosen. A subtle wood structure, for example, provides an understated foundation, while a more pronounced design places greater emphasis on the floor.
When choosing parquet tiles, also consider the furniture, wall colours and other fixed materials in the room. Matching the undertones creates a cohesive whole without requiring the floor and furnishings to be exactly the same colour.
Check the properties of your 20x120 floor tile
Although the collection focuses on ceramic 20x120 wood-look floor tiles, technical properties may vary by product. Therefore, always check the details on the product page for the version you want to order.
This is particularly important if you have specific requirements regarding underfloor heating, slip resistance, installation area or other technical properties. This way, you base your choice not only on the wood design, but also on the application for which the tile is actually suitable.
