Clean and well prepared surface

The bonding primer improves the bond of the tile adhesive by preventing it from being absorbed into the substrate. Apply the bonding primer with a roller or brush and wait until it has dried thoroughly.
Make the space waterproof
Waterproof the area to be tiled. If you plan to tile an area with high moisture or dirt levels, it's essential to waterproof it. Despite careful grout finishing, there may still be cracks and crevices where moisture can seep through, potentially affecting the quality of your tiling. Use caulk and sealant to ensure watertightness.

The obvious risk when installing wall tiles is that any misalignment is more noticeable. Therefore, it's crucial to do this accurately. A spirit level can help with this. Don't blindly rely on existing walls, floors, or ceilings, as they may not be straight. Draw a horizontal line from left to right with a pencil and make a mark in the center. Use this mark to also draw a vertical line. When installing large wall tiles, it's helpful to draw a layout plan beforehand, ideally working from the center out toward the corners. This creates a natural pattern, and you can adjust the tiles to the corners.
Using tile adhesive
The next step in installing wall tiles is applying tile adhesive. Mix the adhesive according to the package instructions. Apply the adhesive evenly with a trowel and spread it over the wall. Don't apply too much adhesive over a large area, as you need to be able to tile it within twenty minutes. Also apply tile adhesive to the back of the tile for better adhesion. Carefully place the tile onto the adhesive using a sliding, pressing motion. Consider using a leveling system for best results. Allow the adhesive to dry for at least 24 hours for optimal results.
